TriPollar™ RF Technolgy
Powered by the 3rd generation in RF technology, TriPollar™, the technology behind Apollo’s fast, effective and painless treatments, provides immediate and long term results. The TriPollar configuration of 3 or 6 electrodes focuses the RF power much like a lens focuses light, there by addressing shortcomings of older mono-polar and bi-polar RF technologies.
TriPollar RF energy has several important advantages over older RF technologies. High energy concentration allows for a low power usage yet achieving high power density under the skin resulting in immediate and long term results without pain.
ApolloTM uses maximum 50 watts in a TriPollar configuration making a cooling mechanism obsolete. Additionally, the focused TriPollar RF energy provides uniform, homogenous heating down to 20mm of skin layers; Epidermis through the Dermis, to the Hypodermis. TriPollar RF is safe for use with any skin type and colour.

Aging skin begins sagging, with fine lines and wrinkles, due to a loss of collagen fibres and a reduction of the production of new Collagen by Fibroblast cells. TriPollar skin tightening treatments use the focused RF energy to heat collagen fibres throughout the Dermis.

Heated Collagen fibres contract thus tightening the skin - creating an immediate effect. In parallel, the induced heat increases the Fibroblast cells metabolism and their production of new Collagen Fibres. This process takes from several weeks to several months and "locks in" the long term skin tightening effect.
A typical treatment course consists of 4 to 6 sessions. Each session takes approximately 10-15 minutes. It is recommended to then perform maintenance treatments once every 4-8 weeks.

Localized fat accumulates as we age and our fat cells become larger. The enlarged fat cells in the subcutaneous adipose layer push our skin to create a fatty look and cellulite.
TriPollar energy simultaneously and homogenously heats the superficial and subcutaneous skin layers, heating fat cells and collagen fibres in the Dermis.
TriPollar RF energy selectively increases the temperature of fat cells. This increases cell metabolism and the release of fatty acids into the surrounding matrix and on to the vascular system for increased metabolism & redistribution in the body.
Fat cells shrink following the release of fatty acids. This is combined with the Collagen contraction in the dermal skin layers to achieve circumference and cellulite reduction in the treatment area.
