What is Mesotherapy?Mesotherapy is a non-surgical cosmetic medicine treatment that employs multiple injections of pharmaceutical and homeopathic medications, plant extracts, vitamins, and other ingredients into the subcutaneous fat. Mesotherapy injections metabolically target adipose fat cells, by inducing lipolysis, rupture and cell death among adipocytes. A medical technique devised in 1952 by Dr. Michel Pistor to treat conditions such as rheumatology, sports traumatology, infectious diseases and vascular diseases and to improve circulation, mesotherapy has also proved extremely successful in the treatment of cellulite. |
The treatment stimulates the mesoderm - the layer of fat under the skin - which in turn helps to disperse the cellulite. Inch loss can also be effectively managed with the use of mesotherapy. Most of the ingredients used exist naturally in the human body, and have specific functions, by adding more, we're simply accelerating certain processes. For example, the visible signs of cellulite are caused by hardened fibrous tissue beneath the skin. The tissue pulls down on the overlying skin, causing undulations. It also traps fats and fluids from circulating normally, causing discoloration of the skin. |
